Reuter develops biodegradable electrolyte
August 2025 | Our cleaning electrolytes contain only natural raw materials approved as food additives. Electrochemical weld seam cleaning with the Reuter system is proven to be non-toxic; however, occupational health and safety measures must be observed – and the waste water should also be treated and disposed of properly.
But what if the transportation and storage of hazardous materials or the professional treatment of wastewater is not practicable? For example, on construction sites without hazardous goods logistics, in sensitive production areas (food, pharmaceuticals, clean rooms) or abroad – with strict transportation requirements (air freight)?
We have developed the new EcoCleaner for these areas of application. The new EcoCleaner is
- 100% biodegradable
- does not require labeling as hazardous goods according to CLP/REACH
- pH skin-neutral (pH 5.5-7)
- phosphoric acid-free, waste water phosphate-free
- non-flammable
No transport or storage restrictions, easy to dispose of, skin-friendly: The new EcoCleaner makes occupational safety and environmental protection much easier.
Certified for North America
July 2025 | The North American market has enormous purchasing power, offering attractive opportunities for manufacturers worldwide. But the road to Canada and the United States can sometimes be rocky: Which regulations must be complied with, what are the requirements? And are there special regulations for certain product groups?
Reuter is tackling these tasks head-on; the first products have now been successfully certified by TÜV Rheinland, with more to follow. With the new cTÜVus label on our Cleanox I and Cleanox III devices, we ensure compliance with all North American regulations.

Our new Quality Management System,
certified by TÜV Rheinland
August 2024 | Making processes more efficient, better fulfilling customer requirements, systematically improving and ensuring the quality of our products, services and processes: This is what we hope to achieve with our quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001. TÜV Rheinland has just certified the introduction of the system. We are delighted!
Information Center Stainless Steel:
Reuter technology is state-of-the-art
May 2024 | In its recently published information sheet 824, the Informationsstelle Edelstahl Rostfrei now definitively describes electrochemical cleaning with carbon fiber brushes as the current state of the art. The wonderful effect of immediate surface passivation has already been confirmed by the Federal Office for Materials Research (see below).
Reuter played a key role in developing this technology 15 years ago and has been continuously expanding the areas of application ever since.

BAM certifies:
Stainless steel cleaning with Reuter systems prevents rust
July 2023 | Stainless steels are coated with a layer of chromium oxide that is only a few atoms thick. This so-called passive layer protects the metal from corrosion. If there are weak spots in the passive layer after the steel has been processed, unwanted corrosion will occur. This not only looks ugly, but can also cause safety-related damage.
When cleaning with carbon fiber brush and electrolytes from Reuter, the passive layer is restored during the cleaning process, still in the same operation. The surface is therefore immediately 100% protected against renewed corrosion. This is now also certified by the BAM (Federal Office for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin) after an extensive series of tests.
By the way: The corrosion test using KorroPads will be available from us shortly.
Innovation, promoted by the government
May 2022 | The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection also sees that we have many good ideas. As part of the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM), our research projects receive government funding. Thank you!
Electrolytes for Cleaning & Polishing
Brand new outfit for our Electrolytes
February 2020 | We have now given our electrolytes a new outfit: super-tight bottles and canisters with UN hazardous goods approval, indestructible, in fashionable Reuter orange. And because the new bottling plant is working so fast, there are even real price advantages – look out for the inexpensive new packaging units.
